Negative Mass, Harmony of the Generations", by Oh Sang Wook, is sited outside the pesedestrian entrance at the junction of Hill Street and River Valley Road. This larger than life statue in steel portrays a family group in abstract fashion following its own rules of composition.

In the small courtyard is "Big Bang" by Joseph McNally.This cast silicon bronze statue is a visual representation of the two major concerns of man in the 21st centuary - outer space and human genetics. A dome of running water reveals the begining of time, the Big Bang, and the spirals run in eternal motion like the never ending cycle of creative life.

"Aspirations" by Anthony Poon is a steel sculpture painted in yellow. Sited in the the ARTrium, it consists of three convex and convave rings joined at various angles to form a series of integrating volumes. Its colour, form and movement are designed to capture the social cohesiveness and cultural vibrancy of Singapore.

man needs to communicate and appreciate the arts
